VODAFONE AUSTRALIA TO JOIN VODAFONE ASIA.

SYDNEY, Nov 26 Asia Pulse - Vodafone Australia is set to become part of merged Vodafone Asia and Pacific entity, one of five regional groupings under the United Kingdom parent.
Vodafone Group Plc today announced the merger of Vodafone Pacific - which includes Australian operations - and Vodafone Asia into Vodafone Asia Pacific.
From January 2003, the new entity will oversee operations in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Vodafone's investments in China, Fiji and India.
Brian Clark has been appointed chief executive of Vodafone Asia Pacific with Australian managing director Grahame Maher to report to him.
