VOLVO ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF FM9 TIPPER TRUCK IN INDIA.

BANGALORE, Dec 17 Asia Pulse - Swedish truck major Volvo has introduced a new FM9 tipper in India as part of its global launch.
It's part of one of the biggest renewals of Volvo trucks involving an investment of close to Rs 29 billion (US$602 million), according to Managing Director of Volvo India Private Limited, Ulf Nordqvist.
"This product renewal programme includes introduction of the new series of FM and FH trucks worldwide," he told reporters here Monday.
In India, Volvo plans to introduce trucks on this new platform in a phased manner, Nordqvist said, adding, FM9 300 hp 8x4 would be the first product to be introduced and was aimed at the construction industry.
