INDONESIAN GOVT ASKED TO POSTPONE INDOSAT DIVESTMENT.

JAKARTA, Dec 30 Asia Pulse - The House of Representatives, by a letter dated 27 Dec 2002, has asked the government to postpone the divestment of its shares in publicly listed telecom firm PT Indosat (JSX:ISAT).

House Deputy Speaker AM Fatwa, who signed the letter, told reporters here Friday that the letter had been sent in the morning to State Minister for State Enterprises, Laksamana Sukardi.

"I shall contact him soon. If necessary, I shall meet him to deliver a copy of the letter in person," Fatwa said.
