INDIA-BORN INDRA NOOYI BEING GROOMED FOR TOP JOB AT PEPSI.

NEW YORK, Jan 17 Asia Pulse - India-born Indra K Nooyi, President and Chief Financial Officer of PepsiCo, is being groomed to ultimately take over the top post in the food and beverage giant where she is overseeing introduction of healthy foods and aggresively pursuing acquisitions.

The bet is that Nooyi, 47, would be dispatched for some groomng in another part of the empire, perhaps for eventual takeover at the top, Forbes Global, which did a cover story on her in its latest issue, said.

Nooyi, who had pushed for acquisition of Tropicana and Quaker Oats, confessed that she is obsessed with new acquisitions and other moves for her company.

"I wake up in the middle of night and write different versions of PepsiCo on a sheet of paper."
