KOREA GAS ASKS INDONESIA TO SUPPLY MORE LNG THIS WINTER.

JAKARTA, Jan 27 Asia Pulse - South Korean gas company Korean Gas has requested Indonesia to provide an additional supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to anticipate increasing energy demand during this year's winter season, an official said.

The company wanted Indonesia to ship nine extra cargoes on top of 40 regular cargoes of LNG to meet rising demand in that country during the winter, state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina's downstream affairs director, Muchsin Bahar, saidy.

The Korean request for additional supply of gas, he added, was very urgent. If the demand for extra supply could not be met, industries in Korea would be facing a big energy problem.

Industries in Korea might have to cease operations if their need for additional supply...
