AUSTRALIA'S WOOLWORTHS LAUDS ITS PETROL STATION CHAIN.

MELBOURNE, Jan 28 Asia Pulse - Woolworths Ltd (ASX:WOW) chief executive Roger Corbett had a word of advice today for his counterpart John Fletcher at Coles Myer Ltd (ASX:CML) about the runaway success of Woolies' petrol division.
"It's not something that's easily emulated," Mr Corbett said.
Woolworths customers can get four cents a litre off their petrol purchase and it's a lure Coles Myer is looking to copy.
"We took four or five years building up this chain of petrol stations which now number just short of 300 and they are all very carefully located to complement our supermarket and Big W business," Mr Corbett told AAP.
"Our customers love the petrol offer, they love the convenience, they love the discount, and the higher petrol prices...
