VODAFONE AUSTRALIA LIFTS SUBSCRIBERS BY 188,000 IN Q4.

SYDNEY, Jan 28 Asia Pulse - Mobile telco Vodafone Australia today said it had increased its subscriber numbers by 188,000 in the final quarter of 2002.
Vodafone said its Australian subscriber base had risen to 2.454 million in the three months to the end of December, from 2.266 million at the end of September.
Vodafone Australia subscriber numbers increased by 99,000 in the three months to the end of September, 2002.
The Australian company is a subsidiary of UK telco giant Vodafone Group Plc.
The telco today revealed the Australian business recorded average revenue per user (ARPU) of $A648 ($US380) for the 12 months to the end of December 31.
