MERCEDES BENZ KOREA RECAPTURES 2ND PLACE IN FOREIGN CAR MARKET.

SEOUL, Feb 7 Asia Pulse - Mercedes Benz Korea recaptured second place in Korea's imported car market from Toyota last month as a result of an aggressive marketing effort, the company said today.
With the Japanese carmaker set to double its sales effort to recapture its lost position, competition in the foreign car market is expected to grow hotter in the coming days.
The German carmaker said it sold 280 cars in January, surging past Toyota's 215 (Lexus) in sales. Monthly sales figures for the German company are up 84.2 per cent from December last year, outpacing its largest sales so far in the country, which were recorded in August last year totaling 265.
