INVESTIGATION BEGINS INTO STRIKE AT BRISBANE'S SUNCORP STADIUM.

CANBERRA, March 4 Asia Pulse - A construction industry watchdog warned it was investigating industrial unrest at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, where employers have threatened to use strikebreakers.

Four unions, including the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) and Builders Labourers Federation, are in the midst of a 10-day strike over the failure to reach new enterprise bargaining agreements.

The A$280 million (US$171 million) Suncorp Stadium redevelopment is one of more than 100 sites, including hospitals and schools, in south-east Queensland left idle by the strike.
