S&P INCLUDES AUSTRALIA'S VENTRACOR IN ASX INDEX.

MELBOURNE, March 14 Asia Pulse - International ratings agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) has promoted artificial heart marker Ventracor Ltd (ASX:VCR) into its S&P/ASX 200 index, effective from March 31, resulting in a 5.6 per cent, or five cent, lift in its share price to 95 cents.
Ventracor chief executive Michael Spooner welcomed the company's inclusion in Australia's top 200 stocks and said it was on track to attain commercialisation of its VentrAssist "artificial heart" device.
"We want to see the benefits flow to patients and doctors worldwide and to our shareholders as soon as possible," Mr Spooner said.
