AUSTRALIAN SHARE MARKET PREPARES FOR RUSH OF BARGAIN HUNTERS.

BRISBANE, March 20 Asia Pulse - Optimistic investors seeking growth stocks will keep driving the Australian share market higher, if the war on Iraq is swift and executed to plan, analysts predict.

US President George W Bush said today the United States and its allies had launched a war of no-half measures on Iraq - but warned it could be longer and more difficult than some had predicted.

Despite the statement rattling brokers this afternoon, the market was hoping the conflict lasted no more than six weeks and did not involve the use of chemical or biological weapons.

JB Were private client research manager Mike Kendall told AAP investors should take it one day at a time, as there was so much uncertainty with events moving rapidly.
