AUSTRALIAN TELCO OPTUS SIGNS DEAL WITH JONES LANG LASALLE.

SYDNEY, Sept 16 Asia Pulse - Australia's number two telco Optus has signed a multi-million deal with global real estate adviser Jones Lang LaSalle to provide its data network communications over a two year period.
Optus said it would provide a fully managed IPVPN (Virtual Private Network) service, connecting Jones Lang LaSalle offices in 24 markets across 12 countries in the Asia Pacific.
The deal also includes NetAccess, which will enable Jones Lang LaSalle's 4,600 staff to connect to the internet via the Optus IP network.
Today's announcement followed the decision by Jones Lang LaSalle to move its entire telecommunications services to Optus, with the combined business worth approximately A$3 million (US$1.99 million) a year.
