KARACHI - The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has commenced operations in Afghanistan.
"National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) opens its doors to international banking in Afghanistan with a branch at Wazir Akbar Khan road in Kabul on Tuesday, October 7, 2003, after being accorded permission by Afghan authorities early this week," a spokesman from the NBP said.
