PAKISTAN'S NATIONAL REFINERY TO EXPORT 180,000 TONNES OF NAPHTHA.

KARACHI, Oct 14 Asia Pulse - Pakistan's National Refinery Limited (NRL) has decided to export 143,000 to 180,000 tonnes of paraffinic naphtha between November 1, 2003 and March 31, 2004 despite lower production of furnace oil due to sufficient water availability.

An NRL public tender has sought unconditional bids on principal-to-principal basis at the option of seller for the export of oil in lots of 25,000 tonnes during November 1, 2003 and March 31, 2004. Last date for the receipt of bids is October 23, 2003.

A source in the oil trade said that the cap on import of furnace oil effective until November has affected the working of refineries. The storage tanks are storing furnace oil and they are at full capacity, he said, adding that the production capacity...
