AUSTRALIA'S BRICKWORKS LOOKING TO BOOK RECORD H1 RESULT.

SYDNEY, Oct 31 Asia Pulse - Australia's biggest brick maker Brickworks Ltd (ASX:BKW) could book a record first half result after the acquisition of clay products company Bristile helped double its first quarter profits.
Brickworks said today it had increased its unaudited net profit for the first quarter to A$13.4 million (US$9.41 million), more than double the A$6.4 million (US$4.49 million) in the previous corresponding period.
"It will be a very, very strong half and as a matter of fact I would almost say it's going to be a record half....I anticipate it will be a record result," Brickworks managing director Lindsay Partridge said after the company's annual general meeting today.
