MICROSOFT, SONY BATTLE IT OUT IN S KOREAN ONLINE GAME WAR.

SEOUL, Nov 24 Asia Pulse - In Microsoft Corp.'s head-to-head battle against online console game offerings from Sony Corp., its Xbox is making a splash in highly wired South Korea.
So far, Xbox has fallen far behind in a race with Sony's PlayStation 2 mainly because of a lack of game titles and shoddy customer service.
However, the U.S. software giant is upbeat since it launched its Xbox Live online gaming service in the Korean market on Oct. 30.
Some 15,000 game enthusiasts flocked to a launching ceremony for the Xbox Live service. About 7,000 online adapter kits, which enable users to play video games together over the Internet, were sold off within just two days after coming on the market.
