KOREA'S LG TELECOM AIMS TO ADD 1.2 MLN NEW USERS IN 2004: CEO.

SEOUL, Dec 17 Asia Pulse - LG Telecom (KOSDAQ:32640), the smallest of South Korea's three mobile carriers, said it would invest its resources to boost its subscriber base by 1.2 million people next year, the company's chief executive officer said Wednesday.
"We plan to spend a total of 320 billion won to attract new customers," LG Telecom CEO Nam Yong said in a meeting with reporters.
Of the money, the company will invest 200 billion won to enhance its network quality in underground areas of major cities by next February, Nam said. So far this year, LG Telecom has spent 480 billion won to improve its network quality and coverage, he added.
