BOEING PROMOTES NEW AIRCRAFT IN VIETNAM.

HANOI, June 14 Asia Pulse - A top-level Boeing delegation, headed by its president and chief executive officer Alan Mulally, visited Vietnam in an effort to sell the company's latest aircraft, the 7E7 Dreamliner, to national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

The 7E7 is a family of aircraft capable of long-haul flights of 6,500 to 16,000 km, carrying 200 to 300 passengers, according to the company. It is also claimed to match today's fastest commercial planes for speed while using much less fuel.

Mulally's visit to Vietnam is the first ever by a Boeing CEO and is considered a sign of Vietnam's growing prominence in the aviation industry.
