- Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is learnt to be close to acquiring a majority stake in training company NIS Sparta from NIIT promoters Rajendra Pawar and Vijay Thadani. NIS was originally promoted by NIIT. But the computer training giant later divested its 76% stake in NIS to a company promoted by NIIT chairman Rajendra Pawra and CEO Vijay K Thadani.
