SAN JOSE, Calif, Oct 12 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ - Atmel(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML), a global leader in the development and fabrication of advanced semiconductor solutions, announced today the availability of two new PHY (Physical Layer) stand-alone chips from the Serial ATA (SATA) product family targeted for PC and a range of storage applications such as SATA Host/Device Controllers, Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) and SAN Storage Area Network.
