VODAFONE AUSTRALIA ATTRACTS 151,000 NEW CUSTOMERS IN LAST QTR.

SYDNEY, Nov 17 Asia Pulse - Vodafone Australia said it had lured 151,000 new customers to the telco in the last quarter.
Chief executive Grahame Maher said Vodafone Australia had worked hard to pull in 151,000 newcomers, an increase of six per cent on the June 2004 results, but it still had work to do.
"Whilst we are pleased with our performance over the last quarter, this is only the start," he said.
"We will continue to shake up this market for the good of our customers and compete aggressively by doing things differently."
Mr Maher said Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) for the quarter was up by an average of $13, with prepaid customer ARPU climbing $32 while postpaid ARPU hiked up $3.
