AUSTRALIAN MOTORISTS MISSING OUT ON OIL PRICE SAVINGS: ASSOC.

PERTH, Dec 2 Asia Pulse - Australian motorists are paying up to six cents a litre more than they should at the bowser, the country's peak

service station body said today.

While wholesale petrol prices in Australia have declined by between four and six cents a litre over the past few weeks the retail market has not fallen by the same extent, Service Station Association chief executive Ron Bowden told AAP.

"I reckon there's another four to six cents a litre due to motorists over the next few weeks - and let's hope the oil companies deliver," Mr Bowden said.

"I expect that eventually they will, they've just been doing a little bit of profit taking."
