NATIONAL BANK OF PAKISTAN TO INCREASE LENDING TO SMES.

KARACHI, Dec 2 Asia Pulse - The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has found great potential for growth of the SMEs sector in Pakistan and assured manifold increase in lending to this sector. The NBP will increase its lending to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from the present level of Rs 22 billion to Rs 70 billion (US$1.2 billion) in the next three years, said NBP President Ali Raza.
He stated this while speaking at the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) here on December 1
