LG ELECTRONICS TO BUILD PLASMA TV FACTORY IN INDONESIA.

SEOUL, Dec 16 Asia Pulse - South Korean electronics and cellular phone producer, LG Electronic Inc (KSE:06657), will set up a plasma television factory in Indonesia in a bid to strengthen its market share in the country, a Korean businessman said here Wednesday.
"The potentials of television market growth in Indonesia are so high. We are committed to set up a factory there," LG Electronic's Asia Group TV Display senior manager, Tae Yeon Ko, told participants of the LG Press Tour Indonesia 2004.
Meanwhile, LG Electronic's Asia, Middle East and Africa Team TV Display vice president, Ken Lee, said his firm has a mere annual turnover of around US$0.5 billion in Indonesia, or less than 1 per cent of LG TV's world market share.
