Can you give an overview of the Vietnamese ITC market in the year 2002?
The market in general grew an estimated 20 per cent, with a high growth rate in the IT sector. We estimated the 2002 market value at approximately $384 million, of which 50 per cent was for PCs and monitors, 9 per cent for printers and 41 per cent for mobile phones.
How was the Vietnamese market affected by the global downturn?
The Vietnamese IT industry, that is, monitors and printers as products, has just started and has not reached a mature state yet.
This is proven by the low penetration rate of those products, especially in the household sector, which should occupy approximately half of the total market. Corporate users are also considered as a potential market...
