Bourse edges up amid light volumes

LAST week's trading ended at Session 603 with the VN-Index bouncing back to stand at 142.73 points, a 0.43-per cent increase compared to the week before.

The first matching order of Session 603 saw no volume at all on 13 stocks--a record low. Total volume reached nearly 5,000 shares, concentrating on shares of AGF, GMD and LAF. The bourse saw no strong fluctuation in prices of the whole market in the first matching order.

During the second matching order, six stocks did not trade. However, REE and GMD picked up the pace with nearly 12,000 REE shares exchanged at VND10,900. GMD increased to VND33,300 after experiencing a small slide in the first matching order,
