How is Personal Income Tax (PIT) declared and finalised with the local tax department?
Employees subject to PIT in Vietnam are entitled to apply for a tax identification number, either through the income-paying organisation or directly with the local tax department. The tax identification number, which is issued to each employee, shall be used for provisional declaration and finalisation of PIT with the local tax department.
