Vietnam upbeat about its future

In spite of the overall negative economic outlook for the Asian region, Vietnam has emerged as the country with the most positive opinions on its economic future, according to a new study conducted by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The study, released last week by the WEF in association with leading market research firm TNS and Gallup International, found that in general, people in Asian countries believe the economic future looks decidedly gloomy. To compound this pessimistic outlook, the findings also revealed a widespread and deep-rooted distrust of political and business leaders prevailing across Asia.
