MAN joins big guns in Ifra exit

MAN Roland has joined Agfa and Fuji in pulling out of Ifra because of duplication with Drupa.

The European newspaper industry's annual get together returns to Amsterdam, its most popular venue, in October and is looking to put behind it criticism of Leipzig last year.

Agfa, which has also withdrawn from Print City, and MAN Roland, two of the largest exhibitors, will not have stands, although both say they will have a presence at the show.

Norman Revill, in charge of MAN Roland web sales in the UK, says: "We had a very successful Drupa. We spent a lot of money and we had a large amount of exposure and orders in the region of half a billion euros.

"We cannot see that going to Ifra and spending another #100,000 is going to give us any major...
