THREE TRADE GIANTS NAMED AS UK SUPERBRANDS
Travel Trade Gazette UK & Ireland, September, 2004
THREE of the trade's giants are celebrating after being named "superbrands" in a survey of more than 100 top British brands - with Virgin Atlantic making the top 10.
In the survey of 109 firms, Virgin Atlantic came eighth, BMI83rd and Kuoni 87th.
The research was compiled by analysts Superbrands using feedback from 275 consumers.
Superbrands chairman Stephen Cheliotis said: "This is an accolade awarded to only five per cent of all popular brands.
Just as the Time Out awards are fundamentally important to restaurants and bars, Superbrands adds independent credibility to the most powerful brandsin the UK.
"Brands are extremely important to businesses and help to drive both the volume and value of sales."
