Paine's dealmaking leads to promotion: Investment banker moves to Cleveland

Randy Paine, who at 33 has made a name for himself as an investment banker in high-profile Indiana business deals, is moving to Cleveland to take a national position at McDonald Investments Inc.'s corporate headquarters.

McDonald's investment banking operation in Indianapolis will continue under the direction of Bruce Akins, a senior vice president, but one local business attorney expressed concern Paine is leaving.

"I'm sorry to see him go because he knows this community," said Marcus Chandler, a partner at Leagre Chandler & Millard. Chandler said there is already a dearth of investment bankers in Indianapolis and Paine's departure. further reduces, an already' small group.
