Baby-sitter training class: The American Red Cross will offer a baby-sitter training class Saturday at the Coquille Valley Hospital from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The course, designed for young people ages 11 to 15, covers safety issues, preventing injuries and illness, basic child care, first aid, decision-making, and age-appropriate behavior and play.
The cost is $34. Preregistration is required. Students can register by calling the Red Cross South Coast Service Center at 267-9595.
