Aaron Olson, 25, a South Eugene High School graduate, finished first overall in February's Valley of the Sun three-day race at Phoenix, Ariz., America's first professional cycling stage race of 2003. A professional bicycle racer for 11 years, Olson now splits his time between Schroeder Iron Pro Cycling Team headquarters in southern California and the U.S. Olympic team training facility in Colorado Springs, Colo. Olson made the U.S. National Junior Team at 16 and has traveled to Europe 10 times for competitions. The Arizona race field included Saturn's Mark McCormack and Prime Appliance's world champion Danny Pate.
