WOODBURN - The University of Oregon's Mike Sica shot a 6-under-par 66 to finish second in men's stroke-play qualifying for the Oregon Amateur tournament Tuesday at the Oregon Golf Association Members Course.
Sica, playing out of Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, finished at 5-under 139 in the qualifying rounds, five strokes behind medalist Brian Hughes of Eastmoreland Golf Course in Portland. Hughes had two rounds of 67 for the victory.
First-round matches will be played today by the 64 men's qualifiers and 32 women. The tournament concludes Saturday.
