Bernice Osburn
The memorial service will be July 22 for Bernice "Bea" Osburn of Eugene, who died July 19 of age-related causes. She was 80.
She was born Jan. 20, 1923, in Lakeview to Kelt and Gladys Chandler Gunther. She married Riley "Junior" Osburn in Eugene on May 1, 1971.
She received an associate's of science degree in nursing from Lane Community College and a bachelor's degree in teaching from the University of Oregon.
She was a registered nurse and also served as an instructor for RNs and certified nursing assistants. She championed the program that required all CNAs to be state-certified.
Osburn enjoyed painting, dancing, camping and being outdoors. She was a Grange member and a member...
