Trees are the subject
for a Saturday Safari
A campus tree walk, a poetry reading and science and art activities will be part of a Saturday Safari family day celebrating trees this week- end at the University of Oregon Museum of Natural History, 1690 E. 15th Ave.
Early birds can join tree specialist Dennis "Whitey" Lueck at 10 a.m. in front of the museum for a two-hour guided tour of campus trees, sponsored by the UO Outdoor Program. To register for the tour, call 346-4365.
Saturday Safari activities, beginning at noon and continuing until 3 p.m., will include identifying and pressing leaves, demonstrations of tree bark weaving and poetry readings by students in the Young Writers Association.
