County fair exhibitors, get ready!(Government)

Time flies, which means that the Lane County Fair will be here before you know it. This year's dates for gorging on cotton candy, challenging the stomach on gravity-defying rides and admiring other people's handiwork or livestock in the exhibit halls will be Aug. 17-22.

Whoa - that means that people who want to exhibit their creations have just three more weeks to declare their intentions and only a couple after that to have everything in shape and ready to go. Quilters have even less time than the rest - their exhibitor entry forms must be in the hands of fairgrounds folks by 5 p.m. July 23, compared with the end of the business day on July 31 for everybody else.
