Ruby Hodgson

COTTAGE GROVE - The funeral will be Sept. 24 for Ruby Irene Hodgson of Cottage Grove who died Sept. 19 of age-related causes. She was 88.

Hodgson was born May 4, 1916, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, to George Logan and Effie Jane Earl Ballew. She married Elmer McCoy in 1936. He died in 1949. She later married Alvin Izarah Hodgson on Oct. 23, 1967, in Idaho. He died Aug. 24, 1995.

She moved to Cottage Grove from Canada in 1923 and graduated from Cottage Grove High School. She was a grocery clerk at Wolford's Grocery in Cottage Grove from 1949 to 1967.

She enjoyed Halloween, reading, bowling and traveling with her husband in their motor home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family....
