Marie Morris says she reads Playboy for the articles.
But while the 21-year-old Albany woman aspires to appear in the men's magazine, it's not for her prose.
Morris was among about 30 women who auditioned at the Hilton Eugene on Sunday for Playboy's magazine, Web site and video production subsidiary.
"Looking at a woman's body is a thing of beauty," Morris said before her photo shoot in a small conference room on the hotel's mezzanine.
Morris said she learned about the tryouts from a co-worker at a Portland strip club. A dancer for the past three years, Morris said she doesn't consider posing for Playboy to be demeaning.
