Horse adoption handled well
As one of the individuals who was recently fortunate enough to adopt one of the 34 neglected horses seized on Sept. 15, I want to strongly commend the efforts of the Lane County Animal Regulation Authority and everyone else who was involved in this process.
This was a tremendous effort that should be recognized. I was very impressed by the efficiency of the process. More importantly, you could tell that everyone involved truly cared about these animals in the compassionate way they worked with the horses as well as the people who were hoping to be able to adopt. Considering that LCARA had never undertaken such an effort, certainly not with horses, it did an amazing job.
Kudos to all...
