New Media Age, May, 2002 by Greg Brooks
The Open University is making its first moves onto iTV next week with a marketing campaign, and is also assessing the future possibility of using iTV for distance learning.
Channelbay, the iTV developer, has created an interactive prospectus and lead-generation service for the OU that will enable viewers of digital cable services to request a prospectus of available courses.
The new service is an extension of the Open University's 'Stand out from the crowd' campaign, which it's using to emphasise the benefits of studying in your own time and improving your career prospects.
The iTV campaign will go live next week and is supported by a further campaign of buttons and banners which will launch across 60 Web sites owned by Flextech, NTL and Telewest....
