Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedIAB looks at mergers to create a united voice

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) chairman Richard Eyre has revealed that the online trade body is looking at merging its operations with other trade bodies in a bid to help the industry speak with a united voice.
Speaking at the Association of Online Publishers conference on Tuesday, Eyre said that to win back customer's confidence the industry needs to represent itself with "clarity and unanimity" of voice. He said that there are already too many online industry bodies for such a young industry.
"I think it's daft that the AOP and the IAB split their resources on research, marketing, standards and policy making at this stage in the industry's development," he said.
