Zip TV goes live with Honda ads but rivals stay with Sky

Zip Television, the interactive TV ad channel, finally went live this week with its first campaign for Honda, as rival car makers BMW and Mercedes launched their debut iTV ads with Sky.

The Zip launch, which was set back last Friday by last-minute contractual wranglings, finally happened on Monday evening with the Honda interactive ad airing on Channel 4, Zip's only broadcast partner signed so far.

Interactive media sales houses at ITV, Sky and IDS have still to agree contracts allowing them to jump to Zip's i-ads, despite coming under pressure from Honda last week to do so (NMA 1 July).
