BBC looks to put iTV content onto DVD

The BBC is looking to sell some of its interactive TV content on DVD via its commercial arm BBC Worldwide, with next week's new series of Spooks potentially the first show to benefit.

The Corporation's programming departments are having discussions to find ways of exploiting the many hours of additional footage created for BBCi red button enhancements to the main broadcast schedule.

Spy drama series Spooks, which returns for a third series on Monday, will be supported by around ten hours of extra footage accessible to viewers on Sky Digital and Freeview.

Those pressing red will be able to undertake M15 training exercises and acquire the skills necessary to take part in a mission.
