Chromium picolinate supp may reduce some key symptoms of atypical depression.

New data presented at a conference of the National Institutes of Mental Health New Clinical Drug Evaluation Unit in Arizona, USA, show that daily supplementation with chromium picolinate significantly reduces some of the key symptoms associated with atypical depression.

The multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involved 113 patients and found that daily supplementation with 600mcg of chromium picolinate significantly reduced carbohydrate cravings compared with placebo, as well as improving other symptoms such as mood swings, fatigue and weight gain perception.
