When your career spans nearly thirty years, you're bound to make some friends along the way. In 2003 the friends of Escovedo financed a series of benefit concerts to help placate the medical expenses of the ailing musician. The support and affection continued this year with the release of an album, Per Vida: A Tribute to the Songs of Alejandro Escovedo. We bet a friend or two is in the audience...
