You know one company for making Cheerios. You know the other for selling them.

General Mills Inc. and The Kroger Co. are Refrigerated & Frozen Foods' second annual Logistics Leadership Award winners.

R&FF surveyed nearly 100 logistics industry executives this year to ask which processors and end-customer receivers had excelled in supply chain performance during 2001. In their responses voters overwhelmingly recognized Kroger, the Cincinnati-based retailer; and General Mills, Minneapolis. In addition to Cheerios, General Mills' $7.95 billion business portfolio also includes the popular refrigerated and frozen food brands Pillsbury, Green Giant, Yoplait and Totino's.
