Done deal: Nestle acquires Dreyer's

Nestle and Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Inc. have united at long last. Federal Trade Commission officials voted unanimously to approve the deal, on the condition that the combined companies divest their Dreamery, Godiva and Whole Fruit sorbet brands and some distribution channels to CoolBrands International.
