Rosa Nissán, alejada de toda seriedad, se auto-describe como la perteneciente "a la primera generación de inmigrantes venidos de allá, allende el
mar, nacida en México. Ésta es mi tercera novela y espero tener fuerza de aventarme el numerito de hacer otra". Esta originalidad en hablar de ella misma es un reflejo constante en su novela más reciente.
Los viajes de mi cuerpo es un compendio de vivencias de mujeres cuarentonas que van a enfocarse en reflexionar sobre su propio cuerpo hasta la sexualidad y relaciones que enfrentan con plena libertad. La abundante naturalidad y frescura narrativa desprende una larga serie de imágenes del entorno en el que continuamente se ven envueltas las principales protagonistas: Olivia y Lola Luna.
