Electrovaya, Inc. (Electrofuel, 645 Royal Windsor Dr., Mississauga, ONT L5J 1K9 Canada; Tel: 905/855-4636; Email: pvandamme@electrovaya.com; TSE: EFL) reports its lithium ion technology has broken through the 200-Wh/kg specific energy density barrier to reach the 213 Wh/kg mark. The cells use standard graphite and lithium cobalt oxide electrode materials.
CEO Sankar Das Gupta says the technology will have a "significant impact on applications including cell phones, wireless devices, portable computers, transportation, UPS, energy storage, aerospace, medical and many others."
Electrofuel, Inc. has signed a marketing agreement with Zones, Inc., a single-source direct reseller of name-brand information technology...
